A Little Bit About Us

We are a licensed private Muslim childcare center catering to the varying needs of children ages 6 weeks to 13 years old. We believe these are critical years for cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, gross motor, and religious development in children.

Our Programs

A Peek Into Our Classrooms

Infant Program

Our infant classroom serves children ages 6 weeks - 18 months. For our youngest Tots, we  work closely with our parents to ensure feeding routines, napping schedules, diapering practices, and daily activities meet what each one of our Tots needs at each stage of their development. We work to support our breastfeeding families by providing space for breastfeeding or pumping when requested. Our plans are designed one-on-one with parents to ensure that we are able to provide the most loving and caring environment that we can for our infants.

*Notice: Infant room is currently closed for the 2022-2023 school year.

Toddler Program

Our mixed age classroom caters to children who are 18 months (and are secure walkers) to children who are 36 months old. We focus on the development of social, cognitive, and physical skills through exploring monthly themes over the course of the year. Example themes include: Me, My Family, Seasons, Animals, Jobs, and Food. Letters, numbers, colors, and shapes are taught in both Arabic and English.

Teachers design opportunities for our children to explore and learn through painting, drawing, mixed media art, nature walks, gross motor play, song and story time, sensory play, and learning stations.

Teachers also work closely with families to support developing independance skills, including toilet training, eating independently, dressing skills, cleaning up activity areas, and other gross motor skills.

Preschool Program

Our mixed-age preschool classroom serves children 3 years old (who are fully potty trained) through 5 year olds (turning 5 after September 1st). Tapping into children's curiosity, we focus on broadening our preschoolers' literacy, math, science, Arabic, social, and gross motor skills. Multiculturalism is a core aspect of our preschool environment. Teachers utilize books, Islamic music, games, and a wide range of activities to teach our children how to be positive community members as well as build their kindergarten readiness skills.

Our colleagues and partners include:

Learning By Doing

Education should be more than just learning facts; it should prepare learners to be successful in this life and the hereafter.

Our teachers are committed to best practices in early childhood education. They bring a wealth of experience, education, ongoing professional development, and skill to their teaching and working with families.

Our curriculum, assessment tools, and activities are developmentally appropriate and align with state and quality program standards.

Most importantly, our teachers love learning with and caring for our children.

Center Time

Center time is a key component of our classrooms. In center time, teachers introduce new concepts and skills, then support student learning with small group and individual work.

  • It is an active, collaborative, reflective, process-oriented time for child directed exploration
  • It is a time for one-on-one engagement with a teacher
  • It is a time to review and master individual goals as well as practice and reinforce concepts of the week
  • It is a time for teachers to conduct observations and assessments

Our Religious Focus

Proud To Be Muslim

Our religion is the center of our lives. We emphasize the importance of our Islamic creed as well as fiqh to children, our families, and our staff. We teach the foundation of the Muslim’s belief, including:

  • Allah does not resemble the creation in any way
  • Allah created everything
  • Allah is not in need of anything
  • Allah is the only one who deserves to be worshipped
  • Whatever we imagine in our minds, Allah is clear of that
  • Prophet Muhammad is the last of the prophets and messengers
  • Prophet Muhammad, along with all the prophets and messengers, called people to Islam

We also teach basic fiqh concepts, including:

  • How to perform istinja’, wudu’, and clean najasah
  • Basic information about prayer, fasting, Hajj, Zakat, Islamic manners

We spend time each week on Qur’an and Arabic studies. Children are introduced to short surahs, with the goal of memorizing the last half of the 30th Juzu’ by the time they graduate Kindergarten. Our Arabic lessons include learning numbers, letters, shapes, colors, printing, and basic vocabulary. We emphasize Islamic holidays and events through parties, stories, projects, discussions, gifts, and days off of school.
